YVR to Denman Island by floatplane from
Richmond/YVR to Nanaimo

From Vancouver International Airport, take the airport shuttle bus to the South
Terminal, then cross the road to the Harbour Air Floatplane Terminal on Inglis Drive. Alternatively, taxis are available
outside the Arrivals building to take you directly to the Floatplane terminals.
Harbour Air flies direct to Nanaimo Harbour, which is a 10-15 minute walk to the Greyhound bus terminal, from
which buses depart at 10.30 and 15.00 hrs daily to Buckley Bay, for the ferry to Denman Island. An additional late
evening bus departs at 21.00 on Fridays & Sundays, connecting with the 23.00 ferry to Denman Island.
On your
return flight, a courtesy bus is available for your transfer back to Vancouver International Airport

YVR to Denman Island by floatplane from
Vancouver Harbour to Nanaimo
Cost - around $130-140 one-way to Denman Island

From Vancouver International Airport, take the Canada Line to Waterfront station. Typical journey time is 26 minutes. Leave the station by the
Canada Place exit and walk to the floatplane terminal on West Waterfront Road (adjacent to the 'Easy Park' lot located
at 1095 West Waterfront) which is approximately two blocks west of Canada Place. Harbour Air flies from this terminal
direct to Nanaimo Harbour.
A two-zone ticket ($3.75 adult; $2.50 concession) is valid for 90 minutes and covers
the journey as far as Waterfront. Passengers boarding at YVR-Airport Station on the Canada Line are required to
pay a supplement fare of $5, making the cost of a two-zone ticket $8.75. Alternatively, for just an extra $0.25, a Day Pass ($9 adult; $7 concession) provides all-day travel on Canada Line, SkyTrain, SeaBus and
all bus routes. Day Passes are not available from the ticket machines at YVR station. They can be purchased
from either Pharmasave or the 7-eleven convenience store, both located on the first floor of the domestic
terminal (before security) No supplement applies if you purchase a Day Pass at YVR.

terminal 2-3 times daily to Comox Harbour.

at Comox Harbour, Comox Valley Transit route 4 departs hourly for downtown Courtenay, connecting with route 10 to Buckley
Bay for the ferry to Denman Island. Alternatively, a taxi from Comox Harbour to Buckley Bay will take about 20-25 minutes.
On your return to Vancouver, tickets to YVR can be purchased at the Canada Line station ($3.75 adult; $2.50 concession).

YVR to Denman Island by Greyhound coach from
downtown Vancouver to Buckley Bay Cost

Greyhound Canada operates a coach service between downtown Vancouver and Nanaimo via the Horseshoe Bay ferry. Greyhound Coaches depart from Pacific Central Station, adjacent to Main Street/Science
World SkyTrain station at 07.30 and 11.30 daily for Nanaimo, with connections to Buckley Bay.

Greyhound
coaches from Vancouver terminate at the Nanaimo Bus Terminal (behind the Howard Johnson hotel) from where connecting services
depart to Buckley Bay (close to the Denman Island ferry).
On your return to Vancouver, tickets to YVR can be purchased
at the SkyTrain Line station ($3.75 adult; $2.50 concession). Cash, Debit and Credit Cards are accepted.

YVR to Buckley Bay by ferry and Island
Link Bus
Cost - around $60-65 one-way to Buckley Bay (including ferry)

Island Link Bus provides connections between YVR and Buckley Bay ferry terminal each day. Schedules vary according to
the time of year.
From Vancouver International Airport, take the Canada Line to Olympic Village. Typical journey time is 24 minutes. The Island Link Bus departs from the station
exit (street level) for Horseshoe Bay, where you will transfer to BC Ferries for the 1 hour 40 minute journey to Nanaimo (Departure
Bay). On arrival at Departure Bay, the Island Link Bus picks up just outside the terminal building for the onward journey
to Buckley Bay, close to the Denman Island ferry. Check the Island Link
Bus website for times and fares - you can save at least $5 by booking on line.
