YVR to Southern Gulf Islands
by floatplane
from Richmond/YVR

Cost - around $100-110
one-way

From Vancouver International Airport, take the airport shuttle bus to the South Terminal, then cross the road to the Floatplane Terminal on Inglis Drive. Alternatively, taxis are available outside the Arrivals building to take you directly to the Seair Floatplane terminal, from which both Seair and Salt Spring Air flights depart. 

On your return flight, staff at the Floatplane terminal will assist in arranging your transfer back to Vancouver International Airport

YVR to Southern Gulf Islands

Cost - around $110-120

From Vancouver International Airport, take the Canada Line to Waterfront station in downtown Vancouver. Typical journey time is 26 minutes. Exit the station towards Canada Place and it's a 10 minute walk to the Harbour Air floatplane terminal

Flights by Salt Spring Air depart from the floatplane dock by the Westin Bayshore Resort, off the Coal Harbour Seawalk.

A two-zone ticket ($3.75 adult; $2.50 concession) is valid for 90 minutes and covers the journey as far as Waterfront. Passengers boarding at YVR-Airport Station on the Canada Line are required to pay a supplement fare of $5, making the cost of a two-zone ticket $8.75. Alternatively, for just an extra $0.25, a
Day Pass ($9 adult; $7 concession) provides all-day travel on Canada Line, SkyTrain, SeaBus and all bus routes. Day Passes are not available from the ticket machines at YVR station. They can be purchased from either Pharmasave or the 7-eleven convenience store, both located on the first floor of the domestic terminal (before security). No supplement applies if you purchase a Day Pass at YVR.

On your return to Vancouver, tickets to YVR can be purchased at the Canada Line station ($3.75 adult; $2.50 concession). Cash, Debit and Credit Cards are accepted

YVR to Southern Gulf Islands 
by bus and ferry via
Tsawwassen

$25-35 one-way

From Vancouver International Airport, take the Canada Line to Bridgeport Station. Typical journey time is just 7 minutes. In the transport interchange below the station, go to Bay 3 to catch the Tsawwassen Ferry bus (route 620) to Tsawwassen Ferry terminal. Typical journey time is 39 minutes.

From Tsawwassen,
BC Ferries operate approximately hourly to Swartz Bay (with connections to the Southern Gulf Islands) and twice daily direct to the Southern Gulf Islands. If you're travelling via Swartz Bay, remember to ask for a Throughfare ticket.

On your return journey to Vancouver, a two-zone ticket to YVR can be purchased on the bus at Tsawwassen terminal ($3.75 adult; $2.50 concession). Exact fare (coins only) is required on the bus.

YVR to Southern Gulf Islands
by coach and ferry
direct from the airport

Cost - around $35-45
one-way

Pacific Coach Lines operates a regular coach service between Vancouver International Airport and downtown Victoria via the Tsawwassen - Swartz Bay ferry.

Coaches depart from the International Arrivals Area Bus Bay 6. Departures from the Domestic Arrival level are 5 minutes after the published times in front of Domestic Arrivals Carousel 6.

Advance bookings are not necessary for passengers boarding this service at YVR. Ticket agents are available to issue tickets. Passengers connecting with ferries to the Southern Gulf Islands should inform the coach driver when boarding at YVR; you will need to transfer your luggage onto the ferry at Tsawwassen. On your return journey, you should board the ferry as a foot passenger and purchase your coach ticket from the driver on board the ferry, during the first 30 minutes of the crossing.
